RODEO INFO

All rodeos are held on Saturday and Sundays. Contestants can buy an annual membership that makes them eligible for year-end awards if they attend 6 of the 8 rodeos or if you’re only wanting to compete for a weekend we offer weekend permit forms. Please know COPWRA does not payback money. Points are accumulated throughout the season and year end awards are given out!

Schedule: 

8am – Senior Boy Calf Tying in Arena / Roping Chute

8:30am – Team Roping; Juniors, Intermediate, Seniors

9:30am- Grand Entry – Track and Arena Events Start, see order of events below.

Limited number of Stalls & RV spots are available. Reservations are made directly through the county fairgrounds .

Crook County Fairgrounds Details;

  • Stalls (must be cleaned out before you leave)
  • RV hook-ups
  • Stalls and hook-ups need to be reserved  in advance either by phone or email;

Tying horses to trailer & setting up own portable pens is allowed.

Pens by the arena are for rodeo stock and DIRECTORS ONLY.

AGE GROUPS AND EVENTS

Age as of January 1st. Girls & Boys compete against each other in Underage and Junior Events (except Junior goats it’s split boy & girl), and  Intermediate and Senior are split into gender in their events. Except Team Roping boys and girls compete against each other in their age division, year-end All Around is separated girl & boy. To be eligible for year-end contestant jackets and awards the contestant must compete in 6 of the 8 rodeos.

Enter your kid in wrong age division and they compete in wrong age division that will be disqualified.

UNDERAGE 3-5

JUNIORS 6-8
